Cancellation & Refund Policy

At B. Elise Notary Services LLC, we are committed to providing professional, reliable, and timely services. Because our services often require advance preparation, scheduling, travel, printing, coordination, or third-party expenses, the following cancellation and refund terms apply.
1. Completed Services
All services are considered final once completed. Refunds are generally not provided for services that have been successfully rendered.
A customer's decision not to use a notarized document, a receiving party's rejection of a document for reasons unrelated to an error by B. Elise Notary Services LLC, or a change in the customer's circumstances does not automatically qualify the service for a refund.
2. Cancellations and Rescheduling
We request at least 24 hours' notice when canceling or rescheduling an appointment.
Cancellations made after work has begun or expenses have been incurred may be subject to nonrefundable charges.
These may include:
Travel or mobile service fees
Printing or document preparation costs
Witness fees
Shipping or courier expenses
Administrative or processing fees
Third-party fees
Other costs already incurred in connection with the requested service
3. Mobile Appointments
If travel to a scheduled appointment has already begun, applicable travel or mobile service fees may be nonrefundable, even if the notarization or other requested service cannot be completed.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that the signer, required identification, documents, witnesses, and other necessary parties are available and prepared for the scheduled appointment.
4. Notarizations That Cannot Be Completed
Payment or fees may still apply when a notarization cannot be completed due to circumstances outside the control of B. Elise Notary Services LLC, including but not limited to:
The signer does not have acceptable identification
The signer is unavailable or does not appear for the appointment
Required witnesses are unavailable
The document is incomplete
The signer is unwilling or unable to proceed
The requested notarization cannot legally or ethically be performed
Other requirements necessary to complete the appointment have not been satisfied
Any applicable charges will be based on the services performed, time committed, travel completed, or expenses already incurred.
5. Apostille, Translation, Shipping, and Third-Party Services
Certain services may involve government agencies, translators, shipping carriers, couriers, or other third-party providers.
Fees paid to third parties or expenses incurred on a customer's behalf may be nonrefundable once processing has begun.
Government processing times, shipping timelines, and third-party completion times are estimates and are outside the direct control of B. Elise Notary Services LLC.
6. Remote Online and Virtual Services
Fees associated with Remote Online Notarization or other virtual services may become nonrefundable once the session has begun or applicable platform, identity verification, credential analysis, administrative, or other service costs have been incurred.
Customers are responsible for meeting applicable identification, technology, document, and participation requirements.
7. Errors or Service Concerns
We take pride in the accuracy and professionalism of our services.
If you believe an error was made by B. Elise Notary Services LLC, please contact us promptly. We will review the circumstances and, when appropriate, take reasonable steps to correct an error attributable to our services.
8. Refund Eligibility
When B. Elise Notary Services LLC cancels a prepaid service and the service cannot be rescheduled or completed, the amount paid for the unperformed portion of the service will generally be refunded.
Nonrefundable third-party fees or expenses already incurred on the customer's behalf may be deducted where applicable.
Other refund requests will be evaluated based on the circumstances, the work already performed, and expenses incurred.
9. Processing Approved Refunds
Approved refunds will generally be returned to the original payment method when possible. Processing times may vary depending on the financial institution or payment provider.
